With a professional background in physiotherapy and health promotion, Rosy Strong is an accredited Bike Education instructor with extensive experience riding in Melbourne and other cities of the world. Rosy brings her passion for urban bicycling to design and deliver a range of cycling education courses for adults.
Learn2Ride:
Individual lessons for absolute beginners from age 12 and up. Over 3 lessons you will learn the fundamental skills to balance on and maintain control of your bike. Students need to provide their own bicycle. Call today!!
CycleWise - Cycling Skills and Road Safety Training:
a comprehensive and practical course covering: Victorian road rules for cyclists, bike knowledge, pre-riding safety checks, choosing the right bicycle and accessories, safe riding in traffic, hazard recognition and avoidance, route planning and more.
CycleWise2Work - Defensive Cycling in Traffic seminar:
a lunchtime information session offered to workplaces. Covers the fundamentals of defensive city cycling, including overview of road rules, tips on negotiating potentially hazardous traffic situations, route planning, insurance and more.
Upcoming CycleWise Community Courses
- Free* CycleWise courses in Northcote. These courses will continue throughout 2012 but course dates are still to be confirmed. Full CycleWise courses will be run in: March, April, May, June, September, October and November. For those who need to brush up their skills before going on-road we'll also offer 2 hour bridging courses in March, May, Sept and Oct. If you live, work or study in the City of Darebin contact Jika Jika Community Centre (T: 9482 5100 or email Max) to book your place. * Free conc/$40 full.
- CycleWise Darebin 121. A limited offer of 2hour individual lessons subsidised by City of Darebin for the months of January and February only. Cost: $50/$25conc. Contact Bikes@Work directly.
